Different Travel

Charity challenge and adventure travel tour operator Different Travel appointed Mondo to build their new website.   The project certainly wasn’t just about creating the pretty customer-facing design that you see showcasing the many interesting challenges that are on offer around the world. Behind this is an extensive and bespoke database that contains every detail about each of the trips. The database offers complete flexibility for displaying trips, but also makes it easy for customers to find a challenge that ticks all of their travel boxes!   Introducing online booking was vital for the new site so we created a comprehensive online booking system which includes a customer account area where those travelling can manage their payments, upload passport information, complete medical declaration forms and purchase add-ons. This system includes automated email communications at...

International Boatbuilding Training College Portsmouth

This marketing strategy project for the International Boatbuilding Training College (IBTC) at Portsmouth’s Historic Dockyard, highlights how Mondo can help clients who are able to implement activity themselves but can benefit from our insight, experience and creative thinking to inform that.   In this case, IBTC Portsmouth had a government grant available to fund bursaries for people whose work was devastated as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.   Anyone made redundant or suffering significant losses to their self-employment could apply to retrain on an IBTC course but the problem was how best to reach those individuals and bring the opportunity to their attention when there is not simply a database of such people.   Mondo undertook research and devised a strategy that identified a variety of routes and activities to spread the word – from...

Lyst Consulting

Mondo was appointed to design and build a new website for Lyst. Their previous website was weak in terms of communicating key messages and large areas of the text that were used across the website were too long and, in some cases, repetitive.   Stage one of the project involved Mondo researching and learning about Lyst as a business and the people behind it. This information gathering, along with a review of the previous website, enabled Mondo’s team to identify and prioritise the many messages that needed to be better presented to website visitors.   When writing the website content Mondo recommended changing the tone of voice to a more conversational style and using a first person narrative – after all, a consultancy of any nature is all about the people.   Focusing on benefit-led messages,...

Portsmouth Creates

The cultural strategy group behind the exciting new Portsmouth Creates project asked Mondo to help create the website that would feature information about who the group is, what their aims and objectives are, and showcase the events being organised.   Using the WordPress platform has meant that the group are able to amend, update and manage the website themselves. Despite using WordPress, thanks to their strong and clean branding and colour palette, a bespoke design and structure has been easily achieved. Going forward, as the Portsmouth Creates project grows and the number of events it delivers grows, so the website can grow with it.   [no_button size="small" icon_pack="" target="_blank" font_weight="" text="View the website here" link="https://www.portsmouthcreates.co.uk"]    ...

AOR Distribution

Online vitamins and supplements retailer AOR Distribution needed a marketing partner to help them create a presence across social media channels in the UK. For almost two years now Mondo have been sending out interesting and engaging content and growing AOR’s audience across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.   With no initial presence in the UK, Mondo’s first task was to create great looking profiles across each social media platform. Then, a calendar and strategy of posts was devised – this would mix targeted posts about AOR products, services and news as well as posts that piggyback on external news and events such as health awareness days.   For each post Mondo’s content team create eye-catching images and video and supporting text information, each with a strong call to action to ensure audience participation and/or...

Chartered Society of Physiotherapy

Mondo were appointed by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy to help produce the materials that make up a university student joiner pack. This pack is what introduces new students to CSP and encourages them to feel excited and inspired about joining the physiotherapy profession and taking up membership.   Creating standout was key to the success of this project, so in addition to bright and bold designs we created a bespoke-shaped speech bubble welcome postcard to work alongside the information leaflet and application form.   Unlike previous years, transforming these printed materials into online alternatives was more important than ever so our team created designs that look great both in print and on screen....

The Spring Arts & Heritage Centre

Local arts and heritage centre The Spring commissioned Mondo to produce its ‘What’s On’ events brochure which showcases everything that’s happening at the lively venue over the coming months.   In addition to creating page layouts that were both easy to follow and interesting on the eye, a focus on following recently created brand guidelines was also essential in terms of the overall design of the publication.   Mondo managed the print production of the brochure and the direct mailing of copies out to The Spring’s mailing database.   Speed of turnaround and being able to project manage everything from the design work through to proofing, printing and mailing impressed the team at The Spring – so much so that they have asked Mondo to help them with the production of the next two issues.   [no_button size="small"...

Edale

Impressed by our initial design concepts, Mondo were apppointed by Edale - an expert in print and packaging solutions - to help with the creation of a brand new brochure to showcase their state-of-the-art FL3 press.   An event at Edale’s HQ meant it was a tight turnaround – a fresh new design and creating artwork for all 40 pages was needed in less than two weeks!   The team at Edale were keen to get across the multiple finishes that the FL3 can incorporate into labels and packaging so Mondo created a design that included embossing, spot UV varnish and foil-blocking finishes – all on a premium quality paper....

Isle of Wight Zoo/The Wildheart Trust

When the Isle Of Wight Zoo rehomed five tigers who had spent years being forced to perform in a Spanish travelling circus, Mondo was asked to help with a public relations campaigns that maximised the potential of their arrival.   As part of The Wildheart Trust, the zoo provides the accommodation and care element of the charity’s work with big cats and exotic animals – supporting rescue projects and raising awareness of the plight of animals who become victims of the circus and pet trade.   Devising a PR strategy covering both pre and post arrival periods, Mondo was able to maximise the potential for the project to help raise not only awareness but also footfall and donations - essential for the ongoing provision of the tigers' new forever home as each costs approximately £12,000...
